The Slicer

Chris used his beloved deli slicer for the first time last weekend.  We cooked a roast for dinner with a spicy tomato and parsley sauce (Giada recipe) and then sliced the rest for sandwiches during the week.  Pitas with shaved roast beef topped with the leftover parsley & tomato sauce sure made lunch time a lot more desirable this week.  Chris declares that he is never going to the deli counter at the grocery store again.

Anyone need a high heel evened out?  Or perhaps feed your neighbor's cat under the door?......(hopefully you've seen that Seinfeld episode)

He also used his new Voice Alert Thermometer as well.  It has preset done-ness levels and either beeps or talks to you when it reaches the desired level.  I liked checking on it to watch the temp increase.

  1. The roast beef with tomato and parsley sauce you made the first time you had us for a meal at Easter in your apt in the Third Ward. I have the recipe as it was delicious. Who knew it was the beginning of your passion to cook with a great husband? I am laughing at the reference to Seinfeld. Keep up the technology in the kitchen!
